I’m A Celebrity Stacey Solomon
Stacey has revealed that she fears the British public are going to vote her into every trial.
When interviewed she confessed to being scare of all the bugs and admitted to being claustrophobic which should make for some interesting bush trials.
“I am the type of person to squeal and I do think I will be voted for every trial. I can see that happening“ she says, grinning.
“But I want to see if I can do it and I am definitely going to give it a good go. It is an endurance test and I am sure I will make a fool of myself. But nobody is perfect.”
Being locked up in a coffin is the one trial she dreads the most. “Or if there is one with alligators,” she adds. “I am scared of bugs too. Urgh! And I am claustrophobic. I do think people are going to laugh at me.”
Stacey said she leapt at the chance to take part because it is such an amazing experience.
“Everything about it made me do it. Yes please,” she explains. “My parents think I will never last but I want to give everything a go. I love all the reality shows and this is the funniest one and the one that really appealed to me.
“It’s a whole life experience – meeting people, living without nothing, jumping out of a plane and I want to try it all.”
But Stacey dreads missing admits she is going to find it hard to be away from Zachary, her young son
“I am going to miss my son. My mum is coming out to Australia with him to look after him. Although it will be hard, I don’t want to miss out on something like this.”
She says she would like to try her hand at cooking in the camp. “I will give the cooking a go,” she adds. “I hope everyone is up for a good laugh and I hope people like me. I’d also like to think I am easy going. I am not argumentative and I am not the type to shout. I remember being in the X Factor house and how intense it got, but I don’t know how I will be in the jungle.”
The lack of sleep is not something that bothers Stacey too much but she says not eating could be tough. “I like my food too much,” she explains. “Not having much food and eating the same thing every day is going to be hard.”
Citing Mariah Carey as her dream celebrity camper, Stacey says she still keeps in touch with her X Factor mentor, Dannii Minogue. “She still texts me to see if I am ok,” reveals the singer. “She is such an amazing person. What will she think of me being in the jungle? I hope she will support me!”
Stacey has been performing gigs around the country since the X Factor but insists she isn’t going on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! to get more work
“I see it as an experience,” she reveals. “Anything else I get out of it is a bonus. I love presenting, singing and dancing and I want to do everything. But I don’t think I am owed or deserve anything.
“Everything that has happened over the last year has been incredible. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”
So is she looking forward to sharing stories around the campfire with her fellow celebrities? Definitely, she replies before adding: “I can’t wait to make some new friends. “It’s all really exciting and I am going to get to share this whole new experience, I really cannot wait.
“Of course, I am anxious and nervous too. I want to know what is in there. I have never been to Australia, let alone go in a rainforest. And yes I might have to do some ridiculous things like eat Camel Toes but I think it’s going to be hilarious…I am sure I will go on a real journey.”
