Driving Home For Christmas
Stacey Solomon cover of Chris Rea’s ‘Driving Home For Christmas’ which is on the current Iceland track is to be released. This is surely going to be a future classic and a hot contender for Xmas number one
Stacey is donating all the proceeds to Alzheimer’s Research UK and children’s hospice charity Together For Short Lives.
Interviewed by The Sun news paper Stacey confessed she was nervous about going head-to-head with the winner of this year’s series of The X Factor.
“If I got Christmas number one it would be the best feeling in the world,” she said. “I’d be ecstatic. I don’t know if I’d be able to look Simon Cowell in the eye! No, I don’t think he’d talk to me!”
Solomon added that she is planning to release her debut album in February and claimed that she had been given more “freedom” by signing a record deal with someone other than Cowell.
“As much as it would have been lovely to have got signed straight away, where I’ve waited and not been in a contract with Simon or Syco, I’ve been able to do whatever I wanted,” she said.
“Now I’ve got the freedom to choose what I want to do which is such a privilege. I’ve been writing a lot of it myself. It’s acoustic songs that mean something to me.”
Stacey’s last song didn’t do to well unfortunately – a cover of ‘At Last’ by Etta James – back in May 2010

The Love Machine
Stacey Solomon and “cock” Chris Moyles have signed up to present a new dating show on Sky Living, to me this is truly the meeting of beauty and the beast
It will be filmed live in front of an audience and will feature a enormous dating machine that contains men and women looking for romance
The process of choosing a partner is purely biased on attraction between contestants. Would be couples will grill each other on issues like sex, money and beliefs to see if there is any chemistry between them
The winning pair then have a chance to ditch the new date for a sexy model and then go on holiday.
Duncan Gray is Sky’s head of entertainment and has described the show as “funny, entertaining, and at times painfully honest”.
Chris Moyles is said to be really excited about the show and working with Stacey “It’s all the awkwardness of a giant speed dating event but in front of a live studio audience and on the TV.”
Stacey also added “Each contestant will only have a brief glance of who The Love Machine picks for them, but I hope we prove that there really can be love at first sight. I’m a big romantic at heart and I can’t wait for Chris and I to play cupid each week.”
The Love Machine will be coming to Sky Living next year.

Iceland
Stacey Solomon is to be the new face of Iceland supermarket. Stacey will appear in the adverts later this year and its expected to follow the usual Iceland style campaigns
“I’m really excited to be working with Iceland. I still can’t believe it. And I have always been such a big fan so it feels perfect. Wahoo!
“I can’t wait to get started and shoot the ads.”
Nick Canning Iceland’s executive director said they chose Stacey because she is “a genuine Iceland customer and is someone they know their customers already love”.
White line sniffing druggy Kerry Katona previously fronted Iceland, this is defiantly a step in the right direction for Iceland, lets hope the advert are not as annoying and crappy for Stacey

“I want to try everything – TV presenting, singing, even some musicals and stage acting. I love all of it. I feel like I was born to do it.”
There are also a lot of rumours around Stacey’s I’m A Celebrity camp mate Shaun Ryder and Stacey working together to record a cover of The Pogues’ ‘Fairytale Of New York’.

I’m A Celebrity Stacey Solomon
Stacey has revealed that she fears the British public are going to vote her into every trial.
When interviewed she confessed to being scare of all the bugs and admitted to being claustrophobic which should make for some interesting bush trials.
“I am the type of person to squeal and I do think I will be voted for every trial. I can see that happening“ she says, grinning.
“But I want to see if I can do it and I am definitely going to give it a good go. It is an endurance test and I am sure I will make a fool of myself. But nobody is perfect.”
Being locked up in a coffin is the one trial she dreads the most. “Or if there is one with alligators,” she adds. “I am scared of bugs too. Urgh! And I am claustrophobic. I do think people are going to laugh at me.”
Stacey said she leapt at the chance to take part because it is such an amazing experience.
“Everything about it made me do it. Yes please,” she explains. “My parents think I will never last but I want to give everything a go. I love all the reality shows and this is the funniest one and the one that really appealed to me.
“It’s a whole life experience – meeting people, living without nothing, jumping out of a plane and I want to try it all.”
But Stacey dreads missing admits she is going to find it hard to be away from Zachary, her young son
“I am going to miss my son. My mum is coming out to Australia with him to look after him. Although it will be hard, I don’t want to miss out on something like this.”
She says she would like to try her hand at cooking in the camp. “I will give the cooking a go,” she adds. “I hope everyone is up for a good laugh and I hope people like me. I’d also like to think I am easy going. I am not argumentative and I am not the type to shout. I remember being in the X Factor house and how intense it got, but I don’t know how I will be in the jungle.”
The lack of sleep is not something that bothers Stacey too much but she says not eating could be tough. “I like my food too much,” she explains. “Not having much food and eating the same thing every day is going to be hard.”
Citing Mariah Carey as her dream celebrity camper, Stacey says she still keeps in touch with her X Factor mentor, Dannii Minogue. “She still texts me to see if I am ok,” reveals the singer. “She is such an amazing person. What will she think of me being in the jungle? I hope she will support me!”
Stacey has been performing gigs around the country since the X Factor but insists she isn’t going on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! to get more work
“I see it as an experience,” she reveals. “Anything else I get out of it is a bonus. I love presenting, singing and dancing and I want to do everything. But I don’t think I am owed or deserve anything.
“Everything that has happened over the last year has been incredible. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”
So is she looking forward to sharing stories around the campfire with her fellow celebrities? Definitely, she replies before adding: “I can’t wait to make some new friends. “It’s all really exciting and I am going to get to share this whole new experience, I really cannot wait.
“Of course, I am anxious and nervous too. I want to know what is in there. I have never been to Australia, let alone go in a rainforest. And yes I might have to do some ridiculous things like eat Camel Toes but I think it’s going to be hilarious…I am sure I will go on a real journey.”

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here
Stacey Solomon is to star in the ITV Hit show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, Stacey is said to have been picked because of her quote “goofy verbal diarrhoea” and her constant “Oh my god” comments.
A source told The Sun: “Stacey is a great signing. Everyone loved her on The X Factor last year because she just gets so over-excited.
