A staring role in a West end music is what X Factor Stacey Solomon dreams of next
Stacey who is 20 and finished third stated it would be amazing to land a role in theatre
“Music is the main thing right now but it is far from the only thing I want to do. It’s not all I will do. I’d love to get involved in presenting and in theatre.
“It was my dream to be a performer so I would happily perform anywhere to anyone. West End stuff would be amazing. If you love singing and it’s your passion, then of course you want to do theatre.”
Stacey who still has not given up hopes of a singing career is working hard to get a record deal
She said: “I’m working hard to make it happen, having loads of meetings and things. It’s all about getting the record deal at the moment. I suppose if the deal doesn’t happen I could go on and make the record myself. I have no clue about any of that side and how it works. I am writing at the moment and starting to take some trips to the studio.”
Stacey Solomon has announced details about her debut single, she is to do a cover of Glenn Miller’s ‘At Last’ who performed it with an orchestra . ‘At Last’ has been previously covered by man people but notably Etta James and Christina Aguilera.
Stacey was interviewed on ITV’s GMTV this morning and told Lorraine Kelly: “I’m doing a single for the RAF. My cousin’s serving at the moment and my granddad was actually in the RAF as well, so it means quite a lot to me.”
“I got to sing it on The X Factor and someone from the RAF contacted me and asked me to record it as a single.”
Stacey launched a campaign recently for the surviving members of the Squadronaires, she wants to reunite the remaining former RAF big ban members who used to boost morale in WW2
Recently Solomon spoke about fellow X Factor contestant Diana Vickers success “It’s such an inspiration to know that someone who didn’t come first or second has done so well. It drives me to want to do the same.”

“In these tough times, life can be very demanding and the need for Samaritans is greater than ever. Funds raised will allow Samaritans to continue to offer confidential support to people in emotional distress, 24-hours-a-day.”

The X Factor may be over but Stacey Solomon has revealed its still her dream to be a success
Stacey as we all know came third and stated she has a backup plan in case there are no record deals
“I don’t know why people are interested in me – I mean, it’s not as if I won, is it?” she told the Daily Mail. “I want to be a successful singer, and if I work hard, with luck maybe someone will offer me a recording contract, or the chance to do some singing.”
She added: “If, God forbid, nothing comes out of this then I will just have to go back to college to learn how to teach people to sing. Then at least singing will still be my job.”
Stacey previously admitted she was scared of fading into obscurity, its hard to imagine when she can put on such performances as the one below
She went on to talk about John and Edward aka Jedward, and added”I love Jedward,” she said. “There is not one bad bone in their body, and I just think that good things should happen to good people.
“Everything they say is completely honest and just the first thing that comes out of their head, and I am the same. I just say what I feel, I don’t think about what I am saying, and I wouldn’t want to be someone who did.”
She added: “John and Edward are so refreshing, so clean-minded, so innocent.”
Jedward have recently confirmed rumours and they are making a debut single.
